Vale
Royal Sub Aqua Club ( VRSAC ), a Clubmark registered organisation, covering
central, east and south Cheshire and who celebrated their 30th
Anniversary last year, have just been awarded a grant from Sport England to
purchase new kit which will allow them to expand their activities further with
young people from 14 years upwards for scuba diving and younger ages for
snorkelling. This new equipment will allow VRSAC to offer experience of scuba
diving and snorkelling to a greater number of young people in the area and to
offer training for those who might wish to continue on further with the sport.
As well as extensive training activities, VRSAC has an active programme of
diving off the coast of North Wales and other parts of the UK as well as longer
term holiday trips overseas. VRSAC meet each Thursday evening at Winsford
Lifestyle Centre between 8.30 and 10pm. Further contact details are on their
website; http://www.vale-royal-divers.co.uk/index3.htm
or by
phoning Steve Hopper on 0783 678 1976.

We had a fantastic weekend at this years Middlewich Folk and Boat festival... Ok we don't dive in canal's but we do love boats!
Had quite a few visitors to our stand, sold five try dives and have since had a few 'folk' come along to our pool sessions at Winsford Lifestyle centre to find out more about us!
Happy Days :-)

Working towards attaining Clubmark
Vale Royal Sub-Aqua club is comitted to providing top quality diver training in a safe and enjoyable environment.
To this aim, we've decided to try and attain the Clubmark accreditation. You can read more about the accreditaion here ~ http://www.clubmark.org.uk/about/about-clubmark
If we are successful, we'll be amongst the first British Sub-Aqua Club branches to achieve this and we hope it shows our intent to remain at the forefront of our own sport and in line with other Sports Organisations in terms of National Coaching standards and Welfare policies particularly when it comes to the protection of both vulnerable and young persons.
All branch instructors and comittee members now go through CRB checks as a matter of course. In addition, various members of the branch will be attending supporting training courses either sponsored by BSAC or the local council over the coming months...
We'll keep you posted here on our progress!
